Writing.

For years I have kept a private journal, in Spanish, English and sometimes French. What follows is a curated selection: 274 entries lightly edited for a reader and stripped of names and things that belong only to the people who lived them. What remains is the shape of a mind trying to organize itself, one day at a time.

Filter by year or by theme. Entries appear newest first.

Consolidating identity through discipline

If I want my schedule to be consistent, I need to sleep at least 8 to 9 hours every night. Starting my sleep routine at 20:00 to be asleep by 21:00 allows me to wake up at 05:45 with the energy required for a long-term vision. My goal for the next four months is to consolidate this rhythm. This isn't just about time management, it's about energy, attention, and the capital I will have to achieve my goals. I am convinced that I have the capacity to be this person, and the only way to become him is by doing the work consistently until my identity and self-image are modified by my actions. Traction leads to inertia.

Corporate culture and systemic integrity

I am focused on high performance this quarter, specifically regarding revenue targets and team retention. However, I notice a misalignment with how certain leadership levels operate. When small corruptions or nepotism go unchecked, they grow with the company. Culture is shaped by these actions, and culture, in turn, shapes every power axis and decision within the organization. While the individuals may be good people, the lack of a transversal cut to remove these habits at the root affects everyone who stays. My goal is to remain curious and open-minded, learning what I can while preparing for my next leap. I want to be in an environment where systems and meritocracy are the foundation, not the exception.

Breaking the cycle of migration

There is a pattern in my relationships where either the other person or I end up leaving the country. It is as if my mind seeks to repeat the experience of migration I had at eighteen. Maybe the mind chooses the predictable, even if it is painful and impractical, because it is familiar. I need to break this cycle with awareness. I am reflecting on why my unconscious mind seeks this out and what I truly fear. I don't want years to pass before I understand my own patterns. Through journaling, meditation, and conversations with those I trust, I want to progressively understand these energetic frequencies. We often connect with people because we are in the same life cycle, facing the same virtues and vices, even when distanced. Awareness is the first step to breaking the loop.

Ownership and productive communication

I realized my move didn't go as smoothly as planned because I failed to double-check a communication. This error conditioned my personal time and created unnecessary stress. I spoke with my partner about it and took full responsibility for resolving it immediately. She expressed that she views my problems as hers because we are a couple. While I appreciate the transparency and love behind that statement, I question its productivity. Managing expectations and personal accountability is vital. I want to improve our communication by ensuring we act as executors of solutions rather than just participants in worry. We must move from reflection to decision-making to action without getting stuck in the 'worry for the sake of it' phase.

The endurance of facing fear

In my meditations, I remind myself of the value of facing what I fear. It is a rebellion against false threats that aren't actually dangerous to my existence. This is a game of endurance, not a sprint. The key is to reduce the time gap between identifying a situation, feeling the discomfort, and acting against it. Every time my mind tries to label a challenge as a 'big deal' or a threat, I must reframe it as an opportunity to grow and expand my comfort zone. Action, maintained with consistency, is the only way to resolve these imaginary anxieties. It is one more step toward the person I want to become.

Molding reality from within

There is no spoon. My belief that we have control over our lives is real; reality molds itself when I mold myself. I can change the nature of my surroundings through my mind, decisions, and aspirations. It is incredibly powerful to learn from the lessons of others and the patterns of the past to ensure I am walking in the right direction. By being conscious of the underlying motivations and roots of my history, I gain the capacity to change the inertia of my own destiny. To change the world around me, I must first change the nature of my own internal reality.

Testing the machine in new environments

I am convinced it is time to take a great leap, just as I did when I moved from Venezuela to France, but this time with more experience and clarity. I am ready for a new challenge and all the 'pain' it implies. I am willing to test the machine again with resistance tests in different environments, whether in London or Stockholm. It is fundamental to use more than just intuition; I am pairing my instincts with rigorous research into countries, master's programs, and market opportunities. I don't want to repeat past patterns driven by exhaustion or fear. I am opting for long-term sustainability by aligning my decisions with a massive and scalable mission.

Scaling through interpersonal connection

I am preparing for new professional challenges, focusing on building deeper, high-quality relationships with mentors and peers. I've realized that in the past, a lack of social integration held me back. I want to change the 'chip' in my mind that suggests I'm the only one who understands life without truly listening to how others see it. My personal systems are finally generating traction and inertia, but to reach the next level of autonomy and collaboration, I must master the interpersonal. I want to have the courage to speak about what move me while remaining open to being molded by new cultures and perspectives. This is how I will scale my career.

The non-renewable resource of time

My time is the only non-renewable resource I have to fulfill my dreams and maintain my systems. Currently, I am focused on reducing the 'differential margin' in my morning routine-the gap between when I intend to wake up and when I actually do. Today that margin was two hours. My goal is to systematically reduce this to ninety minutes, then sixty, then fifteen. It is about taking full responsibility for the field of my own life. Having full control over my reality requires the consciousness to mold my persona according to my principles and values. Every minute reclaimed is a minute gained for vision and mission.

Breaking intergenerational patterns

I recently reflected on the parallels between my mother's experience and my own. At 23, she moved from her home to Venezuela, leaving her university studies unfinished. Given the circumstances, it was the best decision she could have made, yet she carried regret for a lifetime as if that choice conditioned everything. I found myself in a similar cycle, facing the decision to study or work between France and Spain. I have realized I am a separate being with the discernment to turn the unconscious into conscious. I don't have to stay 'trapped' by the expectations or past regrets of those I love. To achieve different results, I must do different things. This starts with choosing wisely where I want to live, who I want to surround myself with, and what I want to do. By facing the discomfort of these patterns, I can break the intergenerational chains and fulfill the vision I have chosen for my own life.

Principles are unshakeable and non-transferable

Ego is the enemy. It is vital to practice virtue without excuses. A useful heuristic to remember: if something about another person bothers you intensely, you likely have a version of that trait within yourself. Holding onto envy or resentment is toxic and unproductive. You must free yourself through forgiveness to find the path forward. Your principles, values, and morals must be unshakeable and non-transferable. Use your current position to manage your own ego and study both what to do and what definitely not to do when you eventually build your own organization.

Returning to value over status

When we become resentful about status, salary, or titles, we start focusing on things outside of our control. My original objective was to provide value and help the team. I must return to that. When expectations shift toward titles rather than value created, discouragement follows. I want to maximize my learning by surrounding myself with high-density talent and difficulty. In the meantime, I will take complete ownership of my current team and my own attitude. Ownership isn't just about the work, it's about the mindset you bring to the obstacles in front of you.

Gratitude without complacency

I have realized that you can be deeply grateful for what you have without being satisfied with where you are. If you feel stagnant, it is a signal that you need the next challenge to feel discomfort again. Growth happens when the difficulty increases. It is much like relationships or career stages: just because a situation no longer fits doesn't mean you or the organization are wrong, it simply means you have evolved to a higher point. Seeking more is a responsibility to your future self and the people you will lead. You must be the example of constant evolution.

The cellular nature of organizations

A high-performing organization is like a living cell. The successful actions and decisions a team completes each day define the quality and closeness of the people it attracts. People are an extension of the culture. When a company has a strong character and vision, it structures the rules of the game for individuals with that same character. To reach a new professional peak, I must ensure my values match those of the environment I am pursuing. Mastery of the ordinary and the capacity for long-term discipline are what ultimately build the identity of an extraordinary professional.

Structure as a path to freedom

I am focusing on consolidating repeatable systems that work anywhere, with anyone, under any circumstances. My habits are the foundation. Even on days when I have no desire to do anything, I must stick to the routine. We are entering the final third of the year, which is a prime opportunity to allocate resources to the 'important but not urgent' tasks while I have the time. The key to long-term freedom is not avoiding a plan, but aligning your plan with the habits you want to cultivate. If the plan matches the identity you seek, the structure isn't a cage-it is the path to growth.

"When thou risest unwillingly, let this thought be present, I am rising to the work of a human being."
