Writing.
For years I have kept a private journal, in Spanish, English and sometimes French. What follows is a curated selection: 274 entries lightly edited for a reader and stripped of names and things that belong only to the people who lived them. What remains is the shape of a mind trying to organize itself, one day at a time.
Filter by year or by theme. Entries appear newest first.

Leadership through presence and purpose
The real work of a leader is to inspire and extract the best from an individual, placing them in the optimal position to perform toward a common goal. At Deale, I've seen that the ultimate strategy is simply being kinder and more present. Putting people at the center of a system is a real differentiator in a world of optimized SaaS processes. Innovation and technology are allies, but they should serve to make us more productive so we can focus on the long term. If you don't express who you are, no one will know you; while actions speak loudest, you must not underestimate the power of your word. Impact starts with the individual and extends to the organization. My goal is to remain solid in adversity and use my self-awareness to keep the "stream" of my energy clean from ego and illusion.

The present value of action
The best way to calculate the value of a future plan or a past lesson is to bring it back to the present. In finance, we call this Present Value (PV). Life only happens in the "now," so we must extrapolate all experiences to the present to manage our most precious resources: attention, time, energy, and money. Mastery comes from the accumulation of micro-actions over a long period. To ensure consistency, I must provide daily incentives to execute tasks without fail. This means absolute blocking of external distractions and an internal management of the urge to escape. Start the day with the most difficult task-the one that generates the most internal conflict. Moving from the hardest to the easiest creates micro-momentum that carries you through the macro-plan.

Aligning discipline with biology
I have struggled to hit my goal of waking up at 5:00 AM, but I have learned not to fight my biological reality. Sleep is a non-negotiable recovery period for the body. Trying to force a 5:00 AM wake-up on five hours of sleep is a waste of energy and kills momentum. Instead, I am shifting the variable I can control: the time I go to bed. By being in bed by 9:00 PM, I can respect my eight-hour sleep requirement and still start my day early without anxiety or guilt. Success isn't about fighting your nature; it's about designing a schedule that accounts for it. My plan is simple: daily habits, academic commitments, and strict management of my evening routine. When the system is organized and respects the biology of the builder, the work becomes sustainable. Disciplined recovery is just as important as disciplined execution.

Life as a high growth startup
High-level growth carries high initial fixed costs that feel painful. Only the future, consistent profitability makes the investment worthwhile. Whether it is learning a new programming language like R or Python, practicing calisthenics, or starting a venture, the obstacles are the path. Most problems look simple in retrospect, so "trauma" or excuses are no longer valid reasons to limit what my mind wishes to achieve today. The delayed gratification required to force the body and mind to adapt to new stimuli is what separates us from other species. I choose to see my life as a startup-a unicorn with extraordinary potential. Shocks to the system are merely tests of the resilience I have built. I will hold the line until the difficult becomes my new comfort zone.

Engineering self respect
I am moving away from a time when my self-esteem depended on external validation. These past months of solitude were designed to build a "machine" of self-respect manufactured by my own hands. I am learning to be present, genuine, and fluid without fear of judgment. Regardless of the outcome of any social interaction or professional pitch, I either win or I learn. This is why I am now willing to test the system I've built. As a data scientist and builder, I view my behavior through the logic of flows and feedback loops. Self-respect prevails when you analyze your behavior based on the process, not just the result. I no longer wait for things to arrive; I celebrate life by going after what I want, knowing that my initial situation does not dictate my destination.
"When thou risest unwillingly, let this thought be present, I am rising to the work of a human being."
